SERVPRO of Brandywine / Wilmington has a lot of tools and equipment at our disposal. Drying large commercial areas in a short period of time is important to minimize secondary damage as well as loss of downtime for any business. Desiccant dehumidification is one of these tools. In this case, a commercial sized desiccant dehumidifier was used to dry a portion of school that was affected by a severe water damage. Desiccant dehumidifiers work differently than conventional and low-grain refrigerant dehumidifiers. They are able to dry faster and at lower temperatures than the other type of dehumidifiers. The lay-flat ducting can be directed to all of the affected areas. This ducting can be utilized on the floor or hung from the ceiling for ease of egress.
