Fire Statistics for the State of Delaware

Fire Prevention is essential in all homes. Did you know some home fires could have been prevented? Here are some facts and statistics for the State of Delaware, there have been eight home fire fatalities so far this year. (October 1, 2018) In the year 2017 there were 9 home fire fatalities in our home state. On-duty firefighter fatalities in 2018 are zero as of today. (October 1, 2018). Between 1990 and 2017 fourteen on-duty firefighter fatalities were reported the U.S. Fire Administration. https://apps.usfa.fema.gov/civilian-fatalities/incident/reportList/Delaware. Fire departments within the State of Delaware are registered with the National Fire Department Registry by either Volunteer, Mostly Volunteer, Mostly Career or Career. In the year 2018, 44.8% were Volunteer, 53.5% were Mostly Volunteer, 0.0% Mostly Career and Career with 1.7%. These percentages pertain to the State of Delaware.
