Photocatalytic Hydroxyl Generator

SERVPRO of Brandywine / Wilmington has a few dozen Photocatalytic Hydroxyl Generators. It is a newer piece of equipment that takes the place of the older ozone machines. Ozone machines are still used in some scenarios. These Hydroxyl’s are another great way to purify and clean the air whenever odors and germs are present. UVA rays are emitted form the lamp pass through the anatase – coated reactor sleeve. That forms electron hole pairs that react with oxygen and water. Hydroxyl radicals are then formed and dispersed by the fan and decompose pollutants. SERVPRO of Brandywine / Wilmington uses these machines mostly in fire and smoke damaged homes and in Category 3 water damages mostly. Although we can use them for other reasons too. Our hydroxyl machines are SERVPRO green too!
